Scouting Director

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Scouting Director to join our team and assist in identifying top talent across the nation. In this role, you will attend Best in the US Showcase events, evaluating standout players and provide scouting reports. You will be responsible for compiling player evaluations, writing insightful reports and posts, and sharing your findings through written posts and multimedia content on various platforms.

This position offers the unique opportunity to work closely with emerging baseball talent, interact with coaches and industry professionals, and contribute to the development of future stars in the sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend Showcase Events: Travel to Best in the US Showcase events, and other premier baseball showcases, to evaluate players' skills, performance, and potential.

  • Player Evaluations: Observe and assess players across various positions (pitchers, infielders, outfielders, catchers) and skill sets (hitting, fielding, base running, etc.) and compile detailed evaluations based on performance metrics and potential for future growth.

  • Write Scouting Reports: Prepare comprehensive, insightful scouting reports on top players. These reports should include an analysis of strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations for development.

  • Media Creation and Publishing: Create engaging posts, articles, and multimedia content (photos, videos, and interviews) to highlight top performers and emerging talent. Publish your reports and analysis on team blogs, social media platforms, and other outlets.

  • Networking and Industry Engagement: Build relationships with players, coaches, scouts, and agents to stay updated on trends in player development, emerging talent, and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of baseball scouting, coaching, or playing experience, with a strong understanding of baseball mechanics and player evaluation.

  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present clear, concise evaluations. Proficiency in video editing, content creation, and social media platforms is a plus.

  • Knowledge: A deep understanding of the game of baseball, including player development, performance metrics, and scouting principles. Familiarity with high school and collegiate baseball talent is preferred.

  • Passion: A genuine passion for the game of baseball, and an enthusiasm for discovering and nurturing young talent.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively to showcase events and games.

Site Directors/BUS Team Members

Position Overview:

We are seeking BUS Team Members & Site Supervisors to join us for the Summer of 2025! Team Members will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of baseball showcases and tournaments at various locations. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and personnel in a fast-paced environment. The Site Supervisor will work closely with coaches, players, and venue managers to ensure smooth and efficient operations during each event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination:

    • Ensure the successful execution of baseball showcases and tournaments by overseeing the set-up, operation, and breakdown of events.

    • Coordinate with tournament directors, coaches, players, and other key personnel to confirm schedules, player check-ins, field assignments, and logistics.

    • Manage the on-site team, including registration staff, field crew, and other event staff, ensuring everyone is performing their assigned duties effectively.

  • Venue Management:

    • Supervise and maintain facilities and equipment to ensure all areas are safe, clean, and well-prepared for each game and showcase.

    • Act as the primary point of contact with venue staff, ensuring all venue requirements are met (e.g., field preparation, facilities management, etc.).

    • Troubleshoot and resolve any logistical or operational challenges on-site.

  • Team & Player Supervision:

    • Ensure that coaches, players, and families are following all event guidelines and protocols.

    • Assist with player check-in, provide information regarding event schedules, and ensure athletes are prepared for showcases or games.

    • Handle any issues that arise with players, coaches, or families in a calm and professional manner.

      Qualifications:

      • Experience:

        • Previous experience in event management, sports management, or a similar supervisory role in sports tournaments is preferred.

        • Knowledge of baseball, including tournament structure, gameplay, and showcase formats, is strongly preferred.

        • Current or Former College Baseball Coach a plus.

      • Skills:

        • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and solve problems efficiently.

        • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

        • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.

        • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

      • Physical Requirements:

        • Ability to stand, walk, and work outside for extended periods, often in varying weather conditions.

      • Technology:

        • Basic proficiency in event management software, spreadsheets, and communication tools.

        • Familiarity with Trackman or other baseball technology is a plus.

Gate Attendant

Gate attendants create the first impression as guests arrive at the venue.

Responsibilities include selling tickets, managing gate entry, and handling money.

Additionally, you’ll sell merchandise, engage with guests, and offer a friendly smile.

This role requires knowledge of event details and carries the responsibility of managing both money and merchandise.

Social Media Manager

Role Overview:
As the Social Media Manager for Best in the US Showcases, you will be the key person responsible for managing and executing our Twitter content strategy. Your main responsibility will be working closely with our scouting department to post videos, evaluations, and updates on top-tier talent across a variety of industries. Your work will directly help elevate and promote standout individuals to a broader audience, ensuring they receive the recognition they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Scouting Department: Work closely with our scouting team to gather insights, videos, and evaluations of top talent across various fields.

  • Twitter Content Management: Post daily on Twitter, sharing videos, evaluations, player highlights, and other relevant content to showcase talent and build brand recognition.

  • Create Engaging Posts: Write compelling tweets that capture the attention of followers, encourage interaction, and drive engagement.

  • Video & Media Integration: Ensure that videos and multimedia content are integrated into posts, optimized for Twitter, and capture the essence of each talent’s achievements.

  • Monitor Performance: Track engagement metrics such as likes, retweets, comments, and overall reach. Use data to refine and optimize posting strategies.

  • Engagement & Community Interaction: Respond to followers’ comments, retweets, and mentions, and engage with our growing online community to encourage conversation and foster relationships.

  • Trend Tracking: Stay informed about relevant trends, hashtags, and topics within the industries we cover to ensure posts are timely and relevant.

  • Content Calendar: Assist in developing a content calendar to ensure consistent and strategic posting aligned with scouting events, showcases, or other key moments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management, particularly on Twitter.

  • Strong understanding of Twitter best practices and trends, especially for video and multimedia content.

  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft concise, engaging, and clear posts.

  • Ability to collaborate with teams (in this case, the scouting department) and work cross-functionally.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with Twitter analytics tools (e.g., Twitter Analytics) and a data-driven mindset to optimize strategies.

  • A passion for scouting and showcasing talent, especially in sports or other competitive industries, is a plus.
